About Gainesville Opportunity Center

Gainesville Opportunity Center is a medical specialist in Gainesville, Florida. It is listed at 1210 NW 14th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, which places it among the local businesses of Gainesville that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In Gainesville, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across Florida, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Check the listing for insurance, hours and whether telehealth visits are offered.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8:30 am–4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (352) 224-5523. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is goclubhouse.org, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 11 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Gainesville is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Gainesville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I am a member at the GOC. The GOC is many incredible things. It has so much potential for its future. When I first started attending the GOC, I felt welcome, excited but most importantly I felt safe. But recently.. when I go to the GOC a sense of fear hits me.. I feel unsafe at times due to the fact that it feels like you’re walking on egg shells with what you say or do at the GOC. Random example- saying something simple like (I love reading). Can cause an issue or situation with someone who feels bothered by the fact you like to read. This example is basically what it feels like every time someone talks or is doing something. The drama level is gone up pretty high lately at the GOC. This isn’t at all the GOC I walked into on my first day and days after at the GOC. I still support a love the GOC. This is not meant to bring down the GOC or anyone. It’s to help build the GOC up to be better. Thank you for hearing me out. Lucy. H🩡

I live behind this place and I called around looking for resources and they told me they couldn't help me with anything

Rude staff talking down and nasty to clients. Don't know why anyone would stay in that atmosphere.

The GOC has it's good points and it's bad points I'm on here to complain they market themselves to those who are in deep need if your someone who has recovered since seeing your darkest hour and don't completely need all of their services they will slowly push you out the door. They also are supposed to be there to offer assistance through resources to those with a history of mental health illness. If I go there to utilize the printer and computer for job search they don't know how to allow me to although they are being funding for those exact reasons

Being accepted into GOC as a member has changed my life in so many wonderful ways. The staff there is not only helpful but they're kind considerate and really care about their members. They have helped me learn many things about myself. I have opened my eyes and realization that there are others in this world just like me with the difficulties I have on a daily basis. They have different programs or meetings to fit the needs of anybody and everybody that's interested. My favorite is the culinary working in the kitchen whether it's with Lee or Valerie helping prepare, serve and clean up as / if needed. The members are not only outgoing and friendly but helpful to each other in so many ways. Each and every one of them treat you as if they've known you forever. I'm still learning names but it doesn't bother them they remind me kindly. It is definitely a place of learning and growth. Kudos to the Gainesville Opportunity Center and a HUGE thank you to the organizations that donate to keep it running. I love coming here as often as I can.
